Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans ceremonially opens the DDC
Together with the Dutch Ambassador Alle Dorhout
Friday October 10th
The Dutch Defence Cluster was ceremonially opened by the Dutch Minister of Defence, Ruben Brekelmans, and the Dutch ambassador to Ukraine, Alle Dorhout.
”More and more Dutch companies expand to Ukraine. To even better coordinate and support these activities, the DDC was established. An important initiative for The Netherlands and Ukraine”, said Minister Brekelmans.
We feel very honoured to receive this support from the Dutch government and the ministry specifically, and continue to work on facilitating the collaboration between our nations.
Next steps
The cluster has already started delivering practical value to its participants, like on Tech Force in Ukraine, at Brave 1 and via direct connections & introductions. The cluster will soon open a physical location in Kyiv where all Dutch Defence companies are welcome.
The cluster also:
Helps with testing and introductions to key stakeholders
“How to get started” support in Kyiv
Knowledge exchange through expert working groups in NL and Ukraine
Promoting participation and presence of Dutch Defence industry in Ukraine
Collaboration with key industry partners in both countries - such as TNO and Brave 1.
